US Research Organization Listed SANANBIO LEDs in Its 2025 Equipment Report
A 2025 PP Systems research station report documented SANANBIO among several brands of LED fixtures acquired for future crop physiology experiments.
According to the PP Systems 2025 Station Report prepared for the NCERA-101 Committee on Controlled Environment Technology and Use, PP Systems International reported investing in a shipping-container vertical farm for plant physiology research. The report also recorded the acquisition of more than 300 LED light fixtures from multiple manufacturers, explicitly naming SANANBIO, Fluence and Philips.
The report describes a container configured for recirculating hydroponic cultivation and adaptable research work. It also identifies equipment for spectroradiometry, chlorophyll-fluorescence imaging and other experimental measurements. These details describe PP Systems' research infrastructure and intentions, not an exclusively SANANBIO-designed farm. The report does not identify how many of the more than 300 fixtures came from each manufacturer.
The document offers a useful third-party record of SANANBIO lighting being included in a multi-brand procurement for controlled-environment research. Importantly, acquiring fixtures for future studies is different from publishing completed crop trials or demonstrated production outcomes.
