SANANBIO RADIX Used in a 2026 Kale Phenotyping Study in Singapore
A peer-reviewed 2026 kale study involving researchers at the National University of Singapore used SANANBIO RADIX modules under controlled growing conditions. The study assessed plant traits and genetic diversity rather than RADIX equipment performance.
According to a paper published in BMC Plant Biology on February 17, 2026, researchers working on kale improvement cultivated a global collection of 203 kale accessions in a controlled-environment agriculture setting. The study explicitly identifies the SANANBIO RADIX vertical hydroponic module as the growing system used to replicate indoor farm conditions.
The researchers maintained a controlled environment and assessed plants at several stages after sowing. Their methods combined three-dimensional scanning, image analysis and direct measurements to assemble 113 quantitative plant traits. The resulting observations were used to explore kale variation and potential breeding strategies for indoor production.
This is a documented example of RADIX being used as the physical cultivation platform for crop science. The paper reports findings about kale germplasm and phenotyping methods; it does not measure or certify superior performance of SANANBIO equipment, and it does not establish that the university commercially endorses the brand.
