SANANBIO and State Power Investment Partners Presented Solar-Powered Growing Cabin Concept
A September 2020 SANANBIO announcement described a mobile plant-growing cabin combining LED cultivation with solar generation and battery storage.
In a report dated September 30, 2020, SANANBIO described the public presentation of a mobile growing-cabin project developed with organizations in the State Power Investment Corporation group. The concept combined controlled-environment crop production, solar electricity generation and an energy-storage system.
The demonstration specification published by SANANBIO listed 18 solar modules rated at 390 W each, giving a combined nameplate photovoltaic capacity of 7.02 kWp, as well as a 50 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery system. The company also described an integrated controller for lighting, temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide and nutrient management.
The original article reported a vegetable-production figure of 6.2 kg per day for the showcased cabin and described a 15–20 day crop interval. These are historical demonstration claims by the project promoters, not independently verified yields and not a performance commitment for SANANBIO’s current ARK product line.
The project is an early example of combining indoor farming with distributed energy. It illustrates the system-design importance of matching lighting loads, storage capacity, energy production and crop requirements. Source: SANANBIO project report, September 30, 2020.
