University of Turin Dill Research Documented SANANBIO RADIX and Vegmax LEDs
A February 2026 peer-reviewed study in Plants documented the use of SANANBIO RADIX hydroponic modules and Vegmax LEDs for dill cultivation experiments in Italy.
A study published in Plants on February 5, 2026 examined selenium biofortification and moderate salt stress in dill grown under different soilless conditions. Its methods section identifies a SANANBIO RADIX multilayer hydroponic system at the University of Turin’s Department of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences in Italy. The researchers conducted experimental cultivation in 2023.
The indoor setup included nutrient film technique and floating-system configurations and used SANANBIO Vegmax LED lighting. The researchers specified their experimental light spectrum, canopy-level light intensity and photoperiod as part of the methodology. These are conditions of that particular research setup rather than universal recommendations for commercial dill production.
The paper reports changes in selenium accumulation and certain antioxidant-related measurements under the tested treatments, while noting that biofortification and moderate salinity did not affect yield in the tested systems. The scientific findings belong to the research team and must not be interpreted as product performance claims by SANANBIO. The publication provides independently documented evidence of the equipment’s use in plant science research.
