Plenty said in May 2025 that it had emerged from Chapter 11 restructuring and was focusing its next phase on indoor strawberries. The operator described plans to expand production capacity at its Richmond, Virginia, farm and pursue additional locations based on its berry-growing technology. This statement followed earlier industry reports about the bankruptcy filing.

The case is relevant because capital intensity, commercial focus and operational economics all influence the survival of vertical farms. A successful legal restructuring is not evidence that every proposed expansion was later completed. By covering the development accurately, a vertical-farming industry site can help equipment buyers distinguish technological promise from business execution. SANANBIO is not associated with this operation.
