Stage at source reporting: ceased-and-dismantled-reported

A September 2026 report revisited the former Smartkas strawberry-growing initiatives in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. The article described a Harlow vertical farm that had started producing fruit in 2023, but said that both sites were subsequently taken out of service and largely dismantled. It also referred to a June 2026 Dutch court judgment in a related equipment-supply dispute.

This is an important counterexample for investors and growers evaluating equipment integration, performance responsibility and project contracts. A project can achieve an initial harvest and still fail to sustain operations. The website should avoid adjudicating fault beyond what the cited report says, and should not imply that SANANBIO was involved.
