Machine Learning for Lettuce Yield Prediction in Aeroponic Towers

Research overview: A 2026 open-access study proposed a machine-learning model for estimating lettuce yield in aeroponic vertical-growing conditions. Findings reflect the original experiment rather than SANANBIO product performance.

A 2026 open-access study proposed a machine-learning model for estimating lettuce yield in aeroponic vertical-growing conditions. The researchers focused on predicting crop performance from changing cultivation factors, an important challenge when growers want to schedule harvests accurately.

Predictive models can support production planning, but their usefulness depends on the quality of sensor data, the dataset used for development and validation against real crops. This paper is a research application of data modelling in vertical agriculture, not proof that all automated farms have achieved accurate predictions. SANANBIO is not named as a supplier to the project.
